“To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part."Thirty five years ago we said these vows. And like all couples have had our betters and our worse, and sometimes poorer than richer. And this is not even the first time we’ve tested the in sickness and in health. It just feels like it, maybe because it’s happening to me. This past month I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. In order to keep everyone in the know, I will try to keep the herald updated. So far we have come out of the fog, looked for answers, talked to doctors concerning treatment and prayed a lot. I have an appointment at City of Hope on Thursday for a consultation on treatment. But the surgery for a lumpectomy is already scheduled for Feb 8.This will only change IF they tell me on Thurs, I really should go with the mastectomy. Because breast cancer is a “One Size Fits All” illness, without a “one size fits all” cure it makes the not knowing very hard to deal with. There are so many options & treatments; it is hard to make decisions when you don’t have all the answers. We are taking it one appointment at a time, praying for the best, keeping a VERY positive mind set and hoping not to use the last part of that vow just yet. Thanks you or all your love and prayers, Sheila Marie
Man, things have been happening at the speed of light around here, and I know our phone tree works but not everything gets prayers. first: Eileen is doing re-hab on her shoulder, not very fun. 1-24: Jacob fell at school, causing him to take a trip to the hospital, possible re break of his left arm. He is in a soft cast for 2 weeks, we'll see how that heals. This time it was in the middle of his basketball season. (Last time he missed the whole season) on the same day: Marilyn Benson was in a bad car accident. She broke her sternum and 11 ribs. She is currently in a rehabilitation hospital so she can heal, for the next week. Then 1-25: Duggan took a spill on the tile floor, hitting her head. After a bit she started throwing up, so KD took her to the ER. She has a hair line fracture. (don't know where, front or back) I'm not sure how you handle that as you can't put a cast on it. Ill try to get some updates for next time. So as we say good by to January, lets hope Feburary is kinder to all our family and prayers for all.
On Dec 29, the Chino School Board voted to extend OPA's 2 year charter another 5 years. Jason has put in a lot of long hours to help make this happen. Then last week on the 25th, the San Juan Capistrano School board voted 6 to 1 to enlarge that campus. Currently at 400 students in Sept they will have aprox 700. So now 2 schools up and running, they are looking forward to the next step. I never did get the number of schools they wanted to open before they went for a high school. Well they are doing a wonderful job. And Jacob only in the 4th grade is looking forward to his 8th grade trip to see Oxford University in England.
The Molnars went with Tim & Supryia to visit the San Diego Hoban's, looks like they spent the day at the beach, here's TB and Tibor enjoying the sun, surf & sand...
Nor sure how, but Duggan's making angels in the sand...
This is Kami, eye to eye with Roshan. I think shes trying to imprint on him so he won't forget her..
