As the school year gets rolling, some of our little ones started pre-school for the first time. This is Aiden, on his first day at school, from Dina's postings it took a little getting use to. He couldn't wait to wear the new backpack (with nothing in it) but didn't really want to be left there. It took a few days and now he's liking school, even rides the bus like the big kids.
This is the long walk to his classroom, all by himself, man are there any more kids in the school? And you know I'll have these to share when he graduates high school.

This is Calleigh, on her first day of pre-school. The second day she also wanted to wear her backpack, again with nothing in it. Not normally an early riser, her mom says she is up and ready on school days, twice a week. She is having a great time and loves the kids.
Then we have the long awaited Opening of OPA!! Yea, Jason & his team opened on Sept 7 with a bang. I posted the school blog post for the first day in so you could all read it. Couldn't copy the pictures though, so here's what Bridget took ...........

The welcome to the school site was beautiful, the whole family went down for the big event,

there was coffee & donuts for all, in the school colors. Some parents brought the princess to the welcome assembly. There was a big skateboarding presentation, hosted by Van's Shoes. Then a plane flew over with a "welcome OPA champions" banner streaming behind it. The kids were all dressed in their new uniforms with matching van shoes in the school colors.

This has been a long journey for the Watt's family, here's hoping the year goes smoothly.
