Way cool Jonathan!!
Ian & Erin shared these photos of their 2 little guys. This is Ainsley, so sorry Erin, she looks all Hoban/Cameron what a cutie....

This is Ainsley with her favorite big brother, Owen.

On Oct 1 Tracy & Tony celebrated 16 years of wedded bliss. Congrats guys.

Very proud moma said I could share these shots off fb of her girls;

this is Brittany & Jordan going to the homecoming dance....

and this is Brittany & Bianca getting ready for the homecoming parade. Both girls are in cheer leading. Brittany is on the varsity team, the only freshman to make it. Tracy is very involved with both girls at cheer camps and competions.

Well Wishes

So for the second half of Oct we still have a ton of birthday wishes to share: on the 16th Tibi had a special day, he shared it with Ed & Kim's anniversary, they were married before he joined the family so best wishes to you both, hope you got to do something special. Jason had his day on Friday the 22nd, so where better to spend it than on the side lines at a football game where your team wins and of course at the celebration after.
Then on the 23 Jahan turned 1. I heard his surprise party was a huge success. A great party was had, everyone came in costume, the kids had a blast. We'll post the pictures when they get shared.
Coming up on this Friday is Nolan's birthday. Wonder what he's doing to celebrate? Nolie we'll need an update.......
Happy Happy Birthday to you all.

Oct 7 was Kevin's birthday, hope you had a special dinner & cake. (After a work day it's best to eat out for your birthday so you don't have to cook) Happy Birthday!

College updates

For all the sibs that don't keep up with FB I will bring you all the updated news:
Rolland, he posts his own updates, sounds like he has a lot of testing going on. First there was a physics test, then one on thunder storms after that he passed an instrumental check ride. All this after landing a helicopter in the Hartwicks backyard last month. Here's the proud Momma trying to catch it all on video.

A few weekends ago the Yorba Linda Hobans went to Texas, for their first "Parents Weekend". They spent some time with Dane, took in a good football game, visited with some friends that have students at SMU too. It was good trip. Then I got the info on all Danes extra activities:he is on the school Tennis team and Sail Team (on a lake), also an intramural soccer team while taking SCUBA lessons to get certified (for that next trip?) Then he has all his class work to handle. Wow, sounds like Dane has a busy schedule...

On Sept 30, Eileen posted that Kent was on his way to Portland to compete in an "Intercollegiate Wake boarding Competition" on Oct 2, In the Advanced division Kent took 2nd place, his team mate Danni Patraitis too 1st, so they brought home some hardware for the school.
Congratulations Kent!!
Kent will be competing in Dallas on Oct 15 and in Orlando Fl on Nov 13. Sounds like Kent will have a lot to share at Thanksgiving too.
So whats new in your world?

The OPA Blog: September 2010

The OPA Blog: September 2010: "What an absolutely INCREDIBLE start to our very first day together as Oxford Champions! Our Champions and parents walked onto our campus for the very first time through an aqua, black, and white balloon arch to be treated to OPA-themed donuts, juice and coffee.

Our school-wide assembly was a VANS-company sponsored extreme inline, scooter, and freestyle BMX show that inspired our Champions to never give up on their dreams! 'America's Sports Mom' Gale Webb kept the energy high as the athletes amazed us with their awesome stunts!

The VANS motor home even rolled on to our campus with all kinds of goodies for our kids. Mr. Steve Van Doren, owner of VANS, greeted our Champions as our kids cheered back.

Our kids, our families, and all of Oxford Preparatory Academy love VANS!

At 11:00 a.m. all eyes were on the sky as we watched a plane pull a banner welcoming our OPA Champions to our new school. How awesome is THAT!!"

Back to school!

As the school year gets rolling, some of our little ones started pre-school for the first time. This is Aiden, on his first day at school, from Dina's postings it took a little getting use to. He couldn't wait to wear the new backpack (with nothing in it) but didn't really want to be left there. It took a few days and now he's liking school, even rides the bus like the big kids.

This is the long walk to his classroom, all by himself, man are there any more kids in the school? And you know I'll have these to share when he graduates high school.

This is Calleigh, on her first day of pre-school. The second day she also wanted to wear her backpack, again with nothing in it. Not normally an early riser, her mom says she is up and ready on school days, twice a week. She is having a great time and loves the kids.

Then we have the long awaited Opening of OPA!! Yea, Jason & his team opened on Sept 7 with a bang. I posted the school blog post for the first day in so you could all read it. Couldn't copy the pictures though, so here's what Bridget took ...........
The welcome to the school site was beautiful, the whole family went down for the big event,

there was coffee & donuts for all, in the school colors. Some parents brought the princess to the welcome assembly. There was a big skateboarding presentation, hosted by Van's Shoes. Then a plane flew over with a "welcome OPA champions" banner streaming behind it. The kids were all dressed in their new uniforms with matching van shoes in the school colors.
This has been a long journey for the Watt's family, here's hoping the year goes smoothly.

The class rooms are not numbered, but each one is assigned a different college, so Jacob is a corn Husker.....3rd grade
and Kaia is a Jayhawk.....1st grade
once a week they wear their college tee shirts so each class is different at the pep rallies & school assemblies.

and this is Kellen, trying out being the oldest one at home while every ones gone for the day.
Hope all went well for you on your first day of school.
