Eakle grandkids

So the Eakle's have had a very busy month, after Mike came home from his trip to Colorado, we went north to visit with the kids at their new place in Fremont for the 4th of July. Swimming & BBQing, we had a wonderful time with them. Then went back up a week later and brought the kids back with us for the week. Calleigh was "going to visit her cousins" she couldn't wait to play with Kaia.

We went to niece & nephew day at the OC Fair. what a day, this is Mike & Sheila with their 6 grand kids, but Calleigh's cousin Rylie from San Diego came & Duggan & Jackson too.

We had a great day at Uncle Jerome's fair, on sat we celebrated the July birthdays. Kaia on 24th, Calleigh on 26th & Sheila on 28th. We also hosted the dinner of the month that night so Nan & Papa Tom could see everyone before they went north again. It was a fun time for all. Now our house is very quiet. but they will come and visit again...

the Hoban's Hawaii Vacay

First Dane graduated then the family went to Hawaii for some down time, while there Dane & Tom took surfing lessons, they enjoyed the beach....

On a day trip to see the tide pools, Cheryl slipped on the slippery rocks and injured her hamstring so bad that even with help she couldn't get back up the cliff so....

they called 911 and she got air lifted to the top to a waiting ambulance. She has to take it easy for a while now,(only sitting on the beach) pulled muscles take a while to heal.They will have to go back to see the rest of Hawaii another time.

Anniversary

Happy Belated Anniversary to Mom & Dad, 53 years on July 6. I called to see what they were doing, "Oh we went square dancing" still going strong. Congrats!!

Not many of us live or work in LA, but we get this paper at work, The Los Angeles Business Journal, while reading through it I came across this posting of our own Kevin & Cindy. What a susprise, wish they had posted a little more info on this wonderful candy company. Congrats guys, great picture.

July's host for the Dinner of the Month is the Eakle's......

Memorial weekend campout

The weekend was jam packed with excitement: First we went camping, family & friends (that we've been camping with while growing up) then we had a "Super Hero" themed birthday party, for Dad, Ken, Kellen & Seamus.

a hulaahoop relay, volley ball games, water balloon toss & kite flying, then they opened up presents, Kellen got a 'Slip-N-Slide' and everyone wanted to cool off by getting wet, even the BIG guys, Ryan, Ken & Tom ....

Duggan was the recycle queen, really she just wanted to play with the dogs.

All the babies got held & passed around.....

The teens chilled, Dillon brought his guitar and played every night around the campfire after the skits were finished.

Sunday they all went on a Treasure hunt......

we hung out with friends.....,.

closing the day with a fire & sing a long.

And of course all the babies born in 2009 were present for the photo opp. on the top of our page, left to right they are: Seamus(june), Jahan(oct), Duggan (feb), Jenna(april) & Lyla(dec)
