Ben's Walking

I finally figured out how to post this video.
Dan shared this video taken by their nanny, of Ben walking. Next time we see him, he'll be running. Getting so big so fast, Happy birthday Benjamin!!

Tom Wins!!

Just to let the sibs know: Tom won the IHM raffle last month (April). After Eileen having won twice and his friend Yosh even won, it was finally his turn. Aunt Marion must just love when her family wins.

Parental Posting; Danya does it again

From Tom & Cheryl:
We are very proud of Danya for the 2nd year in a row to earn the Mustang

One more year of high school - hope she can keep it up for college

Danya's Doings

So as past posted Danya and her winter guard team made it to the finals for SoCal. Over the course of the weekend, April 20 - 23 they competed again and again in the end they took FIRST Place.
Tom shares:

Danya's YLHS Winterguard were champions of Southern California.
This final performance of the year was at the Cal State Long Beach arena,
The Pyramid. And I won the 50/50 drawing = $88. It has been a long 5
years in the sport, and she finally made it to the top. One more year to go
as a senior and the captain of the team.

Rolland's BIG news

More good news, on Monday, Rolland Hartwick passed his test;
His mom, Eileen says
"He is now a Commercial Helicopter Pilot...now he can be paid to fly!!!!"
Congrats Ro, so excited for you!

Introduction

So I am half way through all this chemo stuff, only 2 more to go. The other good news is we've add a new puppy to our household. While visiting Eileen and Bill in Needles at the end of my first round,(April 3 to the 5) she was fostering a pound puppy. She knew I was coming and would fall in love. So the pound called him Joe Cocker, I re- named him Joey for the Cure. He has helped my mental outlook and as I have to walk him daily, it makes me get up and out of the house.
Yesterday he went to meet Aunt Lisa, got a good check up. Then to meet his cousins Fritz and Wrigley (KD's 2 dachshunds) then on to meet the grandparents, for dinner with Nan and Papa Tom. He has been such a fun addition to our house. He has made friends with our cat, she tolerates him.
Here's our Joey, he is a tri colored English cocker, with one brown eye and one blue.

All dressed up, thanks to Aunt Lisa

Just a note

WOW May is a big month for  BIG BIRTHDAYS. On the 1st Benjamin turned 1 and sharing the day with him, my wonderful godfather, Uncle Ed had his 75th.  On the 3rd Dillon will be 16, and on the 11th Jenni Winn will be the big 30.  The biggest one is on the 7th, Aunt Rose will be 97.  She is grandpa Hoban's last surviving  sibling and dad's (Tom Hoban) godmother.
Happy Happy birthday to all!!!
