Dad update
and heres the last update for dad: Our regular UCLA clinic visit on 3-14-11 was the first since the battery of tests in Feb. Since all tests were negative and presented no evidence of the cause of the Dec anemia, Dr Ross thinks that a side effect of the Dec IVIG procedure was the likely cause. The regular xray and pulmonary tests on the visit were normal. We also made a dermatology visit, on the same day, at which a few suspect skin spots were frozen. We learned that these pre-cancer spots are a result of skin damage from the sun in my youth that are not handled by my suppressed Dad
Mom Update
so heres the update dad put out: Today, 3-28-11, we saw two doctors (first and second opinions) and both confirmed the need for surgery on Sheila's right wrist that will require at least a plate and some screws. We are going with the man that repaired my wrist after my roller blading accident in Death Valley back in Nov 1997. So Sheila is scheduled for surgery with a general anesthetic at noon on Thursday, 3-31-11, at Placentia-Linda Hospital, a small community hospital about five miles away. If all goes well she should be home about 5:00 and start physical therapy in about four weeks. More after the surgery. Dad

Mom falls down the hill
Sat 4-26, Mom was gardening, on the hill and she came rolling down, broke her fall and her right wrist. They went to urgent care and have to go into the specialist on Monday. Keep her in your prayers. Now Jerome needs to finish planting her hill for her & he'll take any help he can get.

Dad's update
You rock Dad.
For all of you that have not yet heard, all the results from blood tests, capsule endoscopy, spiral endoscopy, small bowel biopsies, and colonoscopy during February have been negative as far as finding evidence of any cancer. So far the Drs have been unable to identify the cause (the objective of all the tests) of the anemia during December. More local blood tests today (3-8-11) and regular UCLA clinic visit next Monday.

Duggan's doings: 2nd Circus Party
Feb 19 was Duggan's 2nd birthday, her Mommy planned a Big Top Circus Party in the park BUT it rained all weekend so they moved it to their house. You got a clown nose when you came in the door, the popcorn was flowing & peanuts & hot dogs were on the bill for lunch. The sun was out long enough for the kids to eat in the yard. Everyone took their photo in the photo booth set up. Duggan got to open a pile of gifts & every one had a cupcake to finish it off. Good Job KD & Tibi.
