Lyla's Birthday

Birthdays are a BIG thing when your a kid, and Lyla's is after Christmas with cousins Nick's so we want to wish her a Happy Birthday, the big 2. Wow, the last 09' baby to turn 2, they are all growing up tooo fast. Happy, happy day little one, we love you!! (Happy day to Nick too)

Parental Gifting

The highlight of this year was the kids gift to our parents.  As you may or may not know, Christmas 2010 the kids got together to give the parents a "Pie of the Month". Things happened and the giving ended up at Christmas Eve dinner 2011. No all 12 boxes were not full of pie, but they didn't know that.  It was such fun to see them trying to figure out what to do with 12 pies. Then we had them open something they will use to stay in contact with everyone,
So here is Mom opening up her I Pad, the old fashion version, Dad has a gift card for Marie's, one of their favorite places to lunch. Dad face was priceless......
Yes, we got them a  new IPad II, when dad gets done setting it up, mom will be able to check her face book & emails with the touch of a finger on the couch in front of the new flat screen TV she's not watching.
More Christmas photos in the next posting.

and they just returned from a cruise to Alaska. Cathy, Sharol and Ialso just went to Chicago to visit Sharol's daughter Jackie, she moved there about a year ago. Jim, Evan & I will be going to Florida for 6
days at the beginning of November. We are taking Evan on a little get away because Jim might have to go to China at the end of November for a couple of weeks,

Mary and the gang are about the same Darren is in his second year of college and Brittaney
will graduate this year. Cathy & KayCe are working and going to college.
John and his girlfriend Betty are busy working and taking care of her father.
Jim had to medically retire because of blood clots in his lungs so we are trying to help him with different financial problems.

Linda's crew Deanna graduated with her associate degree last year and is now going for her bachelors degree but I don't know in what she has hanged her mind again Dean will have his associates by June, I thought he was going into Broadcasting but Cathy told me he has changed his mind. Jonathan her youngest has just gone into 9th grade.

Jerry Joe is about the same.
Debbie Whitefoot & i went last week to see Aunt Marion and she looks good and was very excited to show me around I hadn't been out there to see her in about 10 years, but I told your Mom last year I would start going to visit her more. But between my mother being so sick and my knee surgery it has been a rough year.

Hopefully we will be back out to see you next year but you now you can always come to visit us I only live around the block from 2 of your aunts.

Aunt Rose info

Celeste (for the Cali sibs, she is dads first cousin) asked to spread the news, so everyone would have Aunt Rose's new address, so for those of you who don't have it yet:

I am hoping that you could put your 'town crier' hat on and send out my Mom's new address to the Hoban clan. Finally, she moved into and assisted living apartment in Plymouth last week. It's a nice place, people are nice, food is quite good. Important pieces to the move. She is still getting used to all the changes, but it takes time. I'm sure she would enjoy hearing from some of the family. She also has a new cell phone and is slowly getting used to that as well.

I appreciate your help very much.
Hope all's well with the family,

Celeste
